Certified Residential requires 200 hours plus 1,500 hours plus an associate degree, and can appraise all 1-4 unit residential properties regardless of value or complexity. Certified General requires 300 hours plus 3,000 experience hours (1,500 non-residential) plus a bachelor's degree, and can appraise all property types.
